Bakubung Platinum Mine is Wesizwe Platinumβs flagship project, located 40km northwest of Rustenburg in the North West province. The mine operates in the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality, contributing to local economic growth and community development.BPM is strategically positioned south of the Pilanesberg Alkaline Complex, within the Western Limb of the Bushveld Complex, ensuring its place as a world-class mining operation.

To qualify for the Bakubung Platinum Mine Bursary, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements: South African Citizen β Proof of citizenship required. Age 18 β 24 β Applicants must be within this age range. Matric Certificate β Minimum 60% (Level 5) in English, Mathematics, and Physical Science. Full-Time Studies β Must be studying or accepted to study full-time at an accredited South African university. Criminal Record β Must have no criminal record. Medical Fitness β Must be able to obtain a medical fitness certificate. Skills & Attributes: Strong communication & interpersonal skills Problem-solving & initiative Safety-consciousness & responsibility Local Preference: Priority will be given to students residing within a 50km radius of Bakubung Platinum Mine (North West province).
