Excel@Uni is a dedicated student support and bursary management service that helps connect deserving students with financial aid opportunities. Their mission is to ensure students get the funding they need to pursue their education, while also offering guidance and mentorship to help them succeed academically and professionally.
About the Bursary Programme
Excel@Uni is inviting applications for its bursary programme for the 2023 academic year. The bursary is open to students pursuing
undergraduate or postgraduate studies in any field at a South African tertiary institution registered with
SAQA (including Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Degrees, and Masters qualifications).
What the Bursary Covers
Successful applicants will receive:

Full tuition coverage

Funding for textbooks, accommodation, and food

Support for other approved academic necessities

Ongoing psycho-social support

Mentorship to develop essential personal and professional skills
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview, and all applicants will receive feedback on their application status.
Who Can Apply?
To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a
South African citizen under the age of
35

Be
studying full-time towards an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification

Be enrolled in a
DHET and SAQA-registered tertiary institution (public, private, community colleges, or TVETs)

Be applying for funding for the
first time for their current qualification level (i.e., not repeating a degree or honors)

Demonstrate
financial need for the 2023 academic year

NOT be receiving any other full or partial bursary funding for 2023

Required Documents
Make sure to upload
clear, certified copies of the following:

South African
ID document
Matric certificate

Full
academic record (on institution letterhead)

Proof of
tertiary registration for the current year (on institution letterhead)
Household income proof (latest payslips/ affidavit if unemployed/ proof of pension or SASSA grant, combined into a single document)

If under
18 years old: A
signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian, along with a certified copy of their ID
