About MBAWC
Founded in 1891, the Master Builders Association Western Cape (MBAWC) is the oldest construction industry organization in South Africa. It supports professionals in the building and construction sector through training, legal aid, and industry development. This bursary programme is part of MBAWCβs commitment to empowering future leaders in the industry.
Fields of Study Covered
The bursary is available to students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the Built Environment sector, including:β Civil Engineering (BSc)
β Construction Studies (BSc)
β Construction Management (BSc Hons)
β Quantity Surveying (BSc Hons)
β Project Management (MSc)
β Other Built Environment-related fields

Who Can Apply?
β South African Citizen with a valid IDβ Reside in the Western Cape (Preference given to local applicants)
β Enrolled or accepted at an accredited tertiary institution in the Western Cape
β Pursuing a qualification in the Built Environment field
β Household income exceeds R350,000 per annum (does not qualify for NSFAS)
β Not receiving other bursaries (No SETA/CETA funding allowed)
β *Preference given to employees or family members of MBAWC member companies
